Atirath is the executive producer of The Heat — CGTN America's daily current affairs program.

The show has been on the air for 12 years covering important stories such as global wars, economic turmoil, major elections, climate change, and sustainable development to name a few.

Atirath has covered international news for over three decades spanning four countries. Before CGTN, he worked for Al Jazeera, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Gulf News and The Telegraph. In his long career, he has won prestigious awards including the Royal Television Society Award and the Clarion Award. Atirath was also nominated for an Emmy in 2011.
