Gerald Tan is a correspondent with CGTN America and host of the award-winning show ‘Tso’l Food’. Inspired by the iconic Chinese-American dish General Tso’s chicken, the documentary series delves into the rich stories of Chinese cuisine in the United States. 

Tan has covered global politics for over two decades, reporting from newsrooms in Washington, DC; New York; Kuala Lumpur; and Doha. He is the author of an award-winning book on street food in George Town, Malaysia. Tan also publishes articles on travel and cuisine.
