Anzio Williams is EVP, Talent, Strategic Initiatives & Team Impact for NBCUniversal Local, a division of NBCUniversal that includes 12 NBC and 31 Telemundo owned stations, five regional sports networks, and three national multicast networks, as well as other TV, streaming and digital properties.  
  
In this role, Williams is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to support content teams in local storytelling and reporting, strengthen culture and collaboration, and make diversity and inclusion a top priority across the division. Williams is also responsible for championing and developing talent across the division, facilitating professional growth, and creating developmental programs that continue to nurture a flowing pipeline of next generation of leaders. 
 
A respected broadcast professional with 33 years of experience, Williams has worked at TV stations across the country and held numerous leadership roles with increasing responsibility all-the-while mentoring and coaching colleagues and journalists to help them advance in their careers. Prior to his current position, he served as Vice President of News for NBC10 / WCAU and Telemundo 62 / WWSI for eight years.  
 
During his tenure with the Philadelphia stations, Williams played a key role in the stations’ successful move to their new state-of-the-art facility located within the Comcast Technology Center. He also spearheaded the integration and launch of WWSI, the Telemundo-owned station serving the Philadelphia region. He also managed the news teams’ coverage of several major events and stories, including the 2020 protests for social justice, the Eagle’s 2018 Super Bowl Championship, the deadly Amtrak derailment, Pope Francis’s visit to Philadelphia, and Hurricane Sandy’s devastation and recovery efforts.  
  
Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Williams spent 12 years with Hearst Television, working as News Director at KCRA in Sacramento and WDSU in New Orleans. At WDSU, he spearheaded the station’s coverage of Hurricane Katrina, the storm’s aftermath and multi-year recovery efforts. Before this, he worked as Assistant News Director at NBC affiliate stations in Orlando, Florida and Charlotte, and Cincinnati, as well as the FOX affiliate in Miami. 
 
A recipient of nine Emmy Awards for Outstanding Achievement, Best Newscast, Breaking News and Continuing Coverage, Williams was a member of news teams honored with six Edward R. Murrow and two George Foster Peabody Awards.  He is a member of Central Florida Association of Black Journalists, National Association of Black Journalists, National Association of Hispanic Journalists, Asian American Journalists Association and NBCUniversal Local’s DEI Council and Equity in News Task Force. Williams is a Board Member of The Carol Kneeland Project for Responsible Journalism, Temple University’s Center for Ethics, Diversity and Workplace Culture, North Carolina A&T State University’s Board of Visitors, and Board Member of NYU’s Black Male Journalism Workshop.
  
Williams earned a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast News from North Carolina A&T University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Temple University’s Fox School of Business Executive MBA program.
